Marie Michelle Le Millier

Marie Michelle Le Millier (born in 1984 in Mahébourg, Mauritius) is a French painter. She lives and works in Brittany. Her painting, most often oil on paper, is drawn to the ordinary gestures of the shoreline and the seasons: foraging, fishing on foot at low tide, picnics and meals eaten outdoors, rendered in scenes where colour stands in for memory. She holds a research master's degree in visual arts from the Centre Saint-Charles (Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, 2019) and worked within the Opaz 3 studios in Aubervilliers from 2019 to 2022. Her work has been published in Sub(ti)tle Magazine (2023) and shown at Galerie Cécile Dufay in Paris (2024).
